Emily CohenVP/Director, Deputy General Counsel
Emily serves as Vice President/Director, Deputy General Counsel, where she leads a team of attorneys as well as the Compliance team. In this role, Emily is instrumental in providing specialized legal guidance to the credit union’s operating and functional units. This includes helping to navigate complex legal challenges that arise during daily operations. With 12 years of professional legal experience, including three years at ESL prior to assuming her current role, Emily has built a reputation for understanding complex regulatory requirements while also delivering appropriate legal-focused solutions.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Psychology from the University of Rochester and earned her Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Outside of the office, she gives back to her community as a Trustee with the Max A. Adler Charitable Foundation.
