Consumer Credit Counselors of Rochester

As the Rochester area’s only locally based non-profit credit counseling agency, CCCS of Rochester focuses on the financial wellness of families and individuals, providing confidential counseling, educational services, and other solutions that help clients make more confident, informed decisions about their finances. CCCS offers personalized financial guidance and counseling to ESL customers on deposit account management, budgeting, credit, debt, and more. CCCS is available for consultation by phone or in person.

Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope (CASH)

CASH is best known for its annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. This effort offers free tax preparation services to more than 10,000 low or moderate income Rochester area households each year.

CASH is a community coalition of 40-plus organizations, working together to improve life for low-income working families in Monroe County. CASH is regarded as a pioneer and national leader in the effort to provide financial services to low-income families.

The Housing Council at Pathstone

The Housing Council at PathStone provides enrollment support and homebuyer education services and has offices throughout our community, including locations in Canandaigua, Batavia, as well as Rochester.

The Housing Council is one of New York State’s largest HUD-approved comprehensive housing counseling agencies. The Housing Council provides landlord education, foreclosure prevention, pre-purchase counseling, emergency housing services, and fair housing education. The Housing Council provides property management tools and strategies to landlords in order to enhance their business skills and familiarize them with their rights and responsibilities.

NeighborWorks Rochester®

As a leading provider of homeownership support services in the City of Rochester, NeighborWorks Rochester® hosts a monthly orientation for potential first-time homebuyers. NeighborWorks Rochester collaborates with people and partners to strengthen, sustain, and promote city neighborhoods. Their services are available to a wide spectrum of the community, including existing and potential homeowners, tenants, and landlords in the city of Rochester.

SCORE

SCORE is an organization of experienced business professionals that offers invaluable counseling, business advice, and low-cost educational programs to prospective entrepreneurs, existing small business owners, and non-profit organizations.

Pathstone Enterprise Center

PathStone Enterprise Center’s mission is to enhance the economic self-sufficiency and quality of life of individuals and communities through entrepreneurial training, technical assistance, and access to financing for new and expanding businesses throughout Upstate New York and Puerto Rico. The Enterprise Center carries out its mission by making loans to small and micro businesses, and by accompanying those loans with a strong program of pre- and post-loan technical assistance and training programs designed to support clients' growth.
