Kumari LamgadeEast High School
After reading Kumari’s background, it is evident that she has a drive like no other! From living in Nepal to moving to America, she has jumped hurdles most have not. Kumari’s upbringing is ultimately what encouraged her to pursue her dream to become a doctor and give back to her community. She has volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Drive along with the Vision Eye Care Program where she created glasses for students and staff in the Rochester City School District. Kumari has also gained strong leadership skills at her church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Currently, she is involved in a nursing program at the University of Rochester where she is gaining knowledge of the medical field. Kumari plans to carry these learnings with her to further her education in supporting people in need.
