Destiny FordJoseph C. Wilson Magnet High School
Destiny is a well-rounded, engaged student with great passion and dedication to making her community a better place. In 2017 she began her leadership role as Youth Organizer at Teen Empowerment in Rochester. Destiny strives to be a positive voice for change inside and out of the organization. Her strong organizational and time management skills are what have aided her academic success and community involvement. Destiny has proudly received recognition from Mayor Lovely Waren and the Trustees Scholar Award from St. John Fisher for her success academically. Her goal for the future is to become a nurse so she can continue to help those in need.

Attending school in fall 2021: “I plan on attending St John Fisher this fall and I intend on majoring in nursing with a minor in African American studies to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.”
How do you plan to use your scholarship funds? “I am going to use my scholarship funds towards my tuition.”
What parts of high school are you most proud of? “The part of my high school experience I am most proud of is the time management skills I developed.”
What Destiny is most looking forward to in her college career: “I am most looking forward to new experiences in my college career.”
