Mansa Brown-TongeAllendale Columbia School
In her four years of high school, Mansa collected numerous achievements and was heavily involved in school sports, plays and clubs. Mansa co-founded her school’s Social Justice Club, Environmental Awareness Club and Black Student Union. On top of her outstanding academic achievements, Mansa devotes her time to confronting social injustice with her peers in the Black Student Union. Her achievements consist of interning with the VP of Equity and Inclusion at University of Rochester, tutoring younger minority students, and involving herself with the Teen Activism Program.

I traveled unaccompanied internationally for the first time when I was five years old.

How do you plan to use your scholarship funds?
To lower the cost of my tuition.
What parts of high school are you most proud of?
Being the co-founder and co-president of my school's very first Black Student Union.
What are you looking forward to most in your college career?
Networking with professionals in my chosen field of study.
