Mshingelwa has a dedication and passion for serving his community. Growing up in Tanzania, he gained an interest in healthcare and assisting his local community. Mshingelwa currently works as a Student Assistant Unit Aide at Highland Hospital to prepare for his future in the healthcare field. In addition, he has volunteered for the Clean Sweep Project and with the East High Vision Care Program. In school, Mshingelwa is part of Drama Club and Varsity Soccer while maintaining a 3.9 GPA.

Where will you be attending college?
I will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology with an intended major in Biomedical Science.
How do you plan to use your scholarship funds?
I plan to use this scholarship to buy books and other school supplies and put more of it toward my college tuition.
What parts of high school are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of the accomplishment that I was able to achieve through my high school years. I was an honor scholar, winner of the county Shakespeare competition, and able to balance academics with a part-time job at Highland Hospital.
What are you looking forward to most in your college career?
I look forward to meeting new people from diverse backgrounds.
