ESL Federal Credit Union Announces Two New Vice President/Directors
Rochester, NY — ESL Federal Credit Union announces two new employee promotions to its senior management team:
- James Miller has been named vice president/director, mortgage lending
- Michael Prince has been named vice president/director, digital engagement
Miller will oversee the continued investments into the credit union’s Mortgage business. This includes leadership over ESL teams responsible for mortgage sales, underwriting, processing, and loan closing activities. Miller will also work closely with internal stakeholders related to product management, secondary mortgage market, and mortgage servicing opportunities within the ESL portfolio.
In the newly created role, Prince will be responsible for leading ESL’s efforts to provide a robust and aligned digital member experience, and advance member engagement with digital products and services. This includes working with all member-facing teams to incorporate digital tools and services, and deliver continued exceptional experiences for members.

ESL welcomed Miller in 2015 as district manager for the credit union’s Westside district and holds more than 20 years’ experience in banking. Miller holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University, and a graduate of the 2018 Leadership Rochester program. He also is an active volunteer with the United Way of Greater Rochester and Foodlink.
Amassing more than 20 years’ of banking leadership, Prince originally joined the ESL team in 2016 as retail banking sales coach, and assumed the role of Eastside district manager in 2018. Prince holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in business administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. He also is a graduate of the Consumer Bankers Association’s executive banking school. Prince volunteers his time with the Willie Bee Foundation, Junior Achievement, and Foodlink.
