Operation GO: Preparing Youth for the Workforce

Operation GO is a local nonprofit that was founded more than 11 years ago by Rochester City School District graduate, Justin Ortiz. Operation Go provides an afterschool program that teaches students about various career and entrepreneurship opportunities at an early age. The program provides hands-on experience in real-world settings for students so they can participate in and perform real-life responsibilities in a particular field.

Operation GO has since expanded its educational opportunities for students to include programs that help them improve in school and learn about real life opportunities. This includes learning about video production, public speaking, sneaker and clothing production, and owning real estate.

We invite you to watch below to learn more about how this program is developing the skillsets of young leaders across Rochester.
