The Center for Teen Empowerment

Giving Power to Youth to Enact Neighborhood Change

The Center for Teen Empowerment (CTE) in Rochester is a results-driven organization that employs teens (referred to as youth organizers) to organize other individuals around the same age to help address the community’s most pressing issues. Through this work, teens are helping to redirect neighborhood youth to engage in more positive outlets for growth and change. In collaboration with the CTE’s leadership team, these young organizers are in neighborhoods throughout the City of Rochester meeting with others their age to learn about their challenges and priorities to then help them to organize around community-focused solutions.
