Electronic Bill Payment Authorization
I AUTHORIZE ESL Federal Credit Union to post payment transactions generated from the Bill Paying Service to the account indicated on the form being sent electronically. I understand that I am in full control of my account. If at any time I decide to discontinue the ESL Bill Pay service, I will provide written notification to ESL Federal Credit Union. My use of the Bill Paying Service signifies that I have read and accepted all terms and conditions of the Internet Banking Disclosure and Agreement which has been provided to me electronically by ESL Federal Credit Union.
I UNDERSTAND that payments may take up to 5 business days to reach the vendor and that they will be sent either electronically or by check. ESL Federal Credit Union is not liable for any service fees or late charges levied against me.
I UNDERSTAND that I am responsible for any loss or penalty (see fee schedule) that I may incur due to lack of sufficient funds or other conditions that may prevent the withdrawal of funds from my account.
Online Bill Payment
You will receive a confirmation email message informing you that your Bill Pay account has been created.
When you receive this message, simply logon to Internet Banking and click the "Bill Payment" button to begin using this feature.
Insufficient Funds
If you initiate a bill payment which creates an overdraft, the Bill Pay account will be blocked from access. All payments in Bill Pay are SUSPENDED during the blocked period. If the payment is by check, and the check has not cleared, the Bill Pay service will stop the check. If the payment was electronic, the Bill Pay provider will attempt to collect funds up to three (3) times, and an insufficient funds fee will be collected for each attempt where the funds are not available in the account. Any instance of a single or recurring payment scheduled to be paid during the blocked period will not be sent and must be rescheduled by you once your balance is sufficient. Future recurring and dated payments will be processed, assuming there is an adequate balance in your checking account at that time.
You will be charged a non-sufficient funds fee for each payment attempt (see fee schedule). Our Bill Pay service will attempt to withdraw the funds three consecutive times.
