ESL Federal Credit Union and WHAM 1180 Radio morning talk-show hosts Chet Walker and Beth Adams have teamed up to provide a "Sweetheart's Day" tea for the residents of the Jewish Home of Rochester on Friday, Feb. 13., at 2:00 p.m. The tea, which is in celebration of St. Valentine's Day, will be held at the Home, 2021 Winton Rd. South, in Brighton. "The purpose of the tea is to provide seniors the opportunity to socialize and feel connected to past traditions and holidays, especially during the winter months," said Francine Patella Ryan, ESL's Public Affairs Manager. "The tea allies with ESL's core value of caring for members of our community. It also provides a wonderful way to celebrate St. Valentine's Day with residents at the Home." WHAM 1180 Radio personalities Chet Walker and Beth Adams and ESL employees will serve beverages and desserts to residents. Each resident will also receive a coffee mug filled with toiletries and personal care items. Gift certificates to area restaurants will also be raffled during the event. "WHAM Radio has been a vital part of this community for more than 85 years," said Kevin Meath, Account Executive, at WHAM Radio. "It's important for us to give back to the community, which has supported us these many years."
